Oh Snap! A Blog! — Giving the Homeless a Name

Dignity is a basic human right and it has a champion in Jon Linton, founder of The I Have a Name Project which seeks to restore the dignity of the homeless. Using the power of his images, Jon illuminates the plight of the people who have found themselves without a home to return to, through bad circumstances, addictions or mental illnesses. The project took shape, when the first man I photographed wept as I asked his name. “You have no idea how long it has been since someone cared to ask my name,” he said.
