I happened to watch this afternoon the kind of thing that makes the ABC so worth having: the 2013 Young Performers Awards documentary. The tears were not only for the beauty of the performances, but also in reflecting on how the winner is now with us at all, and how far our country has strayed into really bad territory under both Labor and Liberal in the past thirty years – though God knows nothing as bad as the ugly Abbott and the odious Morrison* quite curses the earlier years, not even the Howard or the Ruddock…
