The theme

The theme I have been using is quiet and in good taste – bearing, therefore, little resemblance to me, myself. Its 2012 – and I shall now indulge myself with colour and frivolity . Hang in while I rearrange this site for the year ahead.

  • FROM LUC DEVROYE

From Walter Crowley’s "Rites of Passage" There is another legacy of the Sixties which is often neglected: tens of thousands of individuals who won the revolution at least in their own lives. They live within the system but they are not part of it. They organize their work and existences by their own rules, and have achieved a personal independence of thought, action and moral choice which does not require social sanction. They are free men and women and their examples might be the most subversive influences extant today.

Though this blind rage will hopefully burn itself out, this is the type of story the Bill Wilson would surely draw upon [...]

The first rule of recovery is that we must change our lives. What about our lives need to be changed? Well just about everything really. [...]

    • A Design for Living
“I’d always believed that a life of quality, enjoyment, and wisdom were my human birth right and would be automatically bestowed upon me as time passed. I never suspected that I would have to learn how to live – that there were specific disciplines and ways of seeing the world I had to master before [...]
