| http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article1651031 This one is a wee story about a lost watch in Bellingen. Izzy has a song about a lost watch and a song could well be writ about this one. WATCH. FOUND AFTER 8 YEARS. An inscribed gold watch which was to have been presented by the citizens of Bellingen (N.S.W in 1900 to Thomas Byrnes the postmaster in Bellingen mysteriously disappeared before the presentation. It was found on Sunday in a rubbish tip by Joe White, a boy born since the watch was lost. The watch is still in good order, and will be publicly presented to Mr Byrnes.
